Are you ready to make Bible study a priority? Would you love to be more familiar with the stories and passages in scripture? Do you long to connect with God and strengthen your faith?
Friend, you are in the right place. This podcast will help you understand your Bible, apply verses to your life, and become more confident with the who, where, and why in scripture
Hi, I’m Angie. I’m a pastor and Bible teacher. For years, even though I knew God loved me, I still dealt with defeating doubts about my value and purpose. It wasn’t until I began deeply studying the Bible that I experienced a heart transformation that allowed me to recognize the lies of the enemy that kept me stuck in shame and defeat. Studying scripture allowed me to stand firm on God’s promises that offer peace, joy, hope, and rest. I created a Step By Step Bible study method that teaches you to find life application in one word of scripture, and I will share it with you in these episodes.
If you crave a deep dive into scripture…
Bible study tools you can trust…
And a method designed to equip you to study with confidence…
Then, pull up a seat at our table, open your heart, and prepare to hear God speak directly to you.

358 | Hope for the Waiting Heart
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Hope is often formed in the waiting, not the fulfillment.
Advent opens the Christian year by inviting us into sacred waiting. It is a season where God’s promises feel close, yet still unfolding. Rather than rushing toward celebration, Advent slows us down and teaches us how to wait with expectation, trust, and hope. It reminds us that we live between two advents: the promise fulfilled in Christ’s birth and the promise still to come when He returns as King.
In this episode, Angie begins the journey through the Christian calendar by grounding Advent in Jeremiah 33:14. Together, we explore what it truly means when God says He will fulfill His promises, not vaguely or symbolically, but actively and completely.
What you’ll hear in this week’s episode
•Why Advent marks the beginning of the Christian year and the posture of waiting
•What the word fulfill really means in Jeremiah 33:14
•How God actively rises to establish His promises, not passively watches them unfold
•How to recognize God’s faithfulness in seasons of silence
•Why waiting does not mean abandonment and delay does not mean denial
